If you are a food lover and loves to eat something new then a buffet restaurant is good for you. There are many buffet restaurant in Manila alone and I want to share the 5 things I learned in eating a buffet restaurant that we can apply in our daily lives. 1. Know your food - If you are eating in a buffet, you must know your food. You can ask the server or the cook about the foods you are not familiar with. In our daily lives, we have to know ourselves. We can ask our families or friends about us, for us to be able to know more and improve ourselves. 2. Stand up often - in eating at buffet you have to stand up and get the food tha you want. In our daily lives, we have to take action for the things we want to reach our goals and make it come true. 3. Try new food- In a buffet restaurant, there are many varities of food. Maria Cristina Falls

Maria Cristina falls, one of the tallest in the country. The flow is separated by rock at the brink of waterfall that is why it is known as the twin falls. The falls was located at Agus River Iligan City Mindanao Philippines. With its 320 feet high the falls serves as a primary source of electric power for the city's industries, being harnessed by the Agus VI hydroelectric plant and was operated by the National Power Corporation.          If you are wondering why this the falls named as Maria Cristina Falls, it is because of the story a long time ago that pass through generations entitled The Legend of Maria Cristina Falls.          Once upon a time, Lake Lanao was in hands of Omaca-an a giant monster, eating human beings and animals and even fishes in the water. There were thus very few people around the lake because of the monster that ate everything he saw. Many years passed when Rajah Indarapatra came with his beloved brother Rajah Solaiman. Rajah Solaiman was t

Project Aral at Babuyan Islands

Image
While passing at the Veritas hall in Caleruega, I saw pictures of children and upon reading its labels I learned that this was an educational outreach program of Dominican Missionaries in the Philipines. Babuyan group of islands is 60 nautical miles from Aparri in Mainland Luzon where 45% of residents lives in poverty. The place is so remote that even the most basic schooling needs like books and school supplies is very difficult to come by.  School children have to walk 1-2 hours to be able to go to school but they didn't bother because even if they walk that long to school and even if they don't have a nice school they still go because they want to learn something new. Since there is a scarcity in school supplies sometimes they share their pencils to other school children by cutting them into pieces so that everyone may have a piece to write. With this, the Dominican Missionaries in the Philippines are sustaining the education of poor school children in Calayan and
