Fortune Island

Fortune Island is located at Nasugbu Batangas. A week before our travel I already contacted Mang Dante for the boat reservation for 14 persons that will cost us Php 5,000 with cooking utensils, drinking water and water use for washing. Unfortunately, one day before our travel four backed out and we are only ten left.

We meet at DLTB bus terminal located at Taft Ave, Pasay, Metro Manila. From there we ride a bus going to Nasugbu Batangas. If it is your first time, just tell to the conductor that you are going to Fortune Island. But since the person we contacted told us that there is someone waiting for us in Jollibee of Nasugbu wich is near the Waltermart Nasugbu, I tell to the conductor to drop us there.

At Nasugbu Jollibee restaurant someone is waiting for us there, one of the employees of Mang Dante I think. We meet her there and list down our names for the registration. Before we go to Mang Dante's house we decided first to eat breakfast and have our pack lunch because it was already 10 in the morning when we arrived. After that there is this  accommodative  tricycle driver and we asked him if he can drop us at the market first and he said yes. He  did not just drop us at the market he also guide us to where to buy the things we needed at the island. Fare is 15 pesos per person but since that tricycle driver is very  accommodative  we gave him 100 pesos as our fare and we are 4 in it.

At Mang Dante's house, Mang Dante's wife  accommodate  us on the registration center. I was a little bit shocked because I thought that only us that she will be  accommodating  that day but there are 20 groups more. Entrance fee for the island is 400 pesos for overnight and 300 pesos for day tour. I make a reservation for 14 pax but since we are only 10 she gave us a discount that cost us 450 each which is not bad.

It took us around 45 minutes going to the island. Be prepared because you might got wet upon going to the island or just upon riding on the boat. ;)

On the Island what I expect is that it's a paradise. But yes indeed the island is a paradise if there are no trash everywhere. For the travelers out there who want to go to this island please keep your trash and don't just throw it everywhere. BE RESPONSIBLE.

The island is very beautiful at night, you can have a star gazing for the sky is clear. At day, you can enjoy the beach and have a photo opt at the Greek ruins like. We enjoyed a lot the beach beach because of its clear water and also the cliff diving even if its a bit scary. My overall experience it was fun!

Going back, we have to swim first before reaching the boat  because of high waves it can't go near at the shore. To those who can't swim don't worry they will provide life vest for you. Manong Bangkero warned us that there is the big possibilities  that we might get wet and we have to secured our wallets and cellphones. Then, big waves says goodbye to us as we leave the Fortune Island and we really got wet. There are also times that the waves splash on our faces. Hahaha. That was fun isn't?

Back to the reosrt we take a bath first, change our clothes before going home. I hope that fortune island will be maintained and I hope that travelers who will visit this island will be responsible enough for their trash.

I forgot to tell that the care taker will only provide water for cooking and washing only. And also the CR is not that good so be prepared. Goodluck! ;)
