Monasterio de Tarlac is located at Mount Resurrection Eco Park barangay Lubigan, San Jose Tarlac. The place is sited as the most revered pilgrimage in Central Luzon by the Department of Tourism. This 278 hectare was developed by the former congressman Jose "Aping" Yap. It has 30 foot colossal state of Jesus Christ overseeing the city. At the Baroque Chapel resides the true relics of cross.

Every Thursday the Monastery is strictly close for the maintenance day and Monastic program
The place was open from 10:00 am to 5:00pm

How to get there:

  • By private vehicle:
    • From Tarlac city (Near Sebastian Cathedral), reach for the Ninoy Aquino Blvd. and cross the bridge. Then, turn left towards barangay Tibag, then trace the barangay Tibag road all the way to reach barangay San Juan de Valdes. Follow the 36 km outback road to reach barangay Lubigan. Just follow the markers and signs because turns are well posted.

  • By public transportation:
    • From Manila ride a bus going to Tarlac city , Tarlac. Then ask the driver to drop you at Tarlac Siesta. From there, ride a tricycle going to the jeep terminal for San Jose. Then, ride a jeep going to San Jose and ask the driver to drop you at the terminal going to Monasterio de Tarlac. After that ride a tricyle going to the Monasterio de Tarlac. It is advisable that you rent the tricycle so the driver can wait you until you go down the mountain because there are only few public transportation going there.


Entrance Fee:  Php 50.00

Please take note to wear proper attire, revealing clothes are not recommended. This serves as respect to the place.
