Balungao Hilltop Adventure- Longest Zip line in the Philippines

Balungao is located at the south-eastern part of Pangasinan, bordering the province of Nueva Ecija to the south. On September 8, 2011 the town opens its doors to adventure travel tourism with the opening of Balungao Hilltop adventure (formerly Balungao Hot and cold spring resort) located at the foot of Mount Balungao. The resort was constructed by the Municipal Government of Balungao boasting its 620 meters zip line which is the 2nd longest zip line in the Philippines. As of to date, the resort is now offering the 1.4 kilometer zip line which makes the longest zip line in the Philippines.

620 meters zipline
Balungao Hilltop Adventure also offers other activities like ATV, hiking/trail walking, hot and cold swimming pools, mountain biking and bungee trampoline. At the time we went there we were excited to try their 1.4 km zip line but sadly they forbid us because the wind was strong and its not safe to have the 1.4 km zip line. Anyway we just try their 620 meters zip line and ATV and it was still fun. The zip line starts from a hilltop, stretches through farms and patches of old tress and ends at the resort that will last for about 15 seconds to a minute depending on your weight and your position when you are suspended at the zip line. Their ATV ride will start at the resort going up until you have the nice view of  Mount Balungao then back to the resort.

ATV was until this spot
Before we did these activities, safety first of course. We have to put our protective gears and have to listen to the instructions given by our guide. After that we have to sign a waiver indicating that we are physically fit for the activities that we are doing. For minors, their waiver must be signed by their guardian indicating that they allow them to do such activities.
Going up to the hill where the 620 meters zip line will start, we have to ride a van and then climb on the stairs going up the hill. It was tiring going up the hill but when you are already at the top, you will amaze by the view and it was stunning. After that we have to ready ourselves for the zip line.
We did the ATV after our zip line but before anything else, we have to listen first to the instructions of our guide on how to operate the ATV then after that you are good to go. If you are afraid and your first time for the ATV ride you can ask a guide to accompany you in driving the ATV.
