Trip to Camiguin




          10 kilometers off the northern east of Mindanao, located at the Bohol sea is an island province in the Philippines called Camiguin.
          Camiguin island that was encircled by national road,  can be reach through ferries from Balingaon port in Misamis Oriental going to Benoni Port in Camiguin island that takes about one hour depending on the weather condition. The trip starts from 4am to 5 pm. 

          The pearl-shaped island has many things to offer.  Our first stop is at Katibawasan Falls located at the southeast of Mambajao. The falls cascades 250 feet down to the pool surrounded by orchids and ferns.

After that we went to Ardent Hot spring located at the foot of Mount Hibok-hibok volcano which is the most recently active among seven volcanoes in the island

White island that is 5 km west of the town Mambajao and is popular with its long stretch white sand bar.

The big cross at the place was a commerative to the town of Bonbon that some part of the town subside sinking the cemetery during the volcanic birth of Mt. Volcan.

Sunken Cemetery
Walkway to old volcano is an eight kilometer path going to the peak. Along with this are the 15 station of the cross with its life size statues. The view from the top is worth the trek. You can see the sunken cemetry that cause by the eruption of the Mt. Volcan

Guiob Church was ruined during the eruption of Mt. Vulcan in the 19th century. It is the one of the oldest structures in Camuguin Island.
