How to Travel on a Budget

I was travelling with my full time job and its a struggle because you need enough money and time. For you to save money during your travels you have to travel on a budget. Here are some pointers;
  • If you want to visit a place and you need a plane, follow the airlines that offers the place you want to visit and subscribe in their website and like or follow their social media sites to keep you updated. Most of the time they promote their discounts and promos to their subscriber first. After that, watch out for their sale and book on that day because you can get huge discounts around 20% up to 75% off. But you just need to be patient because sometimes its hard to connect or book on their website. Patience is a virtue on this part.
  • If the place you will visit is by land, ride on a public transportation and as much as possible don't hire a private car. Search for the public transport available to the place that you are going to and if you got lost you don't have to worry about it because there is no harm in asking a direction.
  • When you are travelling of course you need food and to save money you have to find a place where locals are eating. With this, it will not empty your pocket and at the same time you will be experiencing their delicacies and get to know more about the people and their culture.
  • Pack your toiletries like soap, shampoo, toothpaste and the like. Put it in a small container to save space on your bag and this will make you also save money.
  • Stay at a guest house, dormitory, inn or hostel for this will cut your budget in travelling. In choosing to where you will stay you can check reviews on that specific hostel or guest house, for you to be able to choose well. You can also do couchsurfing that offers free accommodation to the travelers.
  • Lastly,to travel wisely you have to do your assignment. Research about the place you are going. For example to where will you eat, where will you ride a public transportation, do you need a tour guide, is the place you are staying is accessible to public transport or market, and many more. Take note that in some places there are groups of tour guides that offers free tour.
In every travels that we are going to make always keep in mind that safe travelling is a wise travelling and always do your assignment.
